    Nanako Ishido, Ph.D.

    Nanako Ishido graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, the University of Tokyo and
    conducted research as a visiting scholar at the MIT Media Lab. Ishido later founded and
    became the president of CANVAS, Digital Ehon and Learning of Tomorrow. She currently
    serves as a professor at Keio University.
    Member of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ Information and
    Communications Council, and many other. She concurrently servers as a member of NHK
    Central Broadcast Programs Council and is the director of Digital Signage Consortium.
    Ph.D. in Media and Governance.
    Her publications include “What is Programming Education? 45 questions that parents want
    to know”, “Children’s Creativity Switch!” and “Digital Education Manifesto” and more. To
    date, she has delivered 3,000 workshops to approximately 500,000 children. Children’s
    creative workshop exhibition "Workshop Collection", which Ishido serves as a committee
    chairperson, draws a large crowd with 100,000 people visiting the event in just two days.
    She is a digital children’s book author and is a mother of one.
